We are a member of Structural Engineers Association of Kentucky (SEAoK), certified by the Structural Engineers Certification Board (SECB) & members of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC).

Community involvement is very important to us. ICON Engineering is a member of the Elizabethtown-Hardin County Chamber of Commerce, the Hardin County AM Rotary Club, Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters and Hardin County Repair Affair.

Who We Are

Michael S. Childers, P.E., SECB - President/Owner

Michael is 1988 graduate of the University of Louisville with a Master of Engineering. He has over 22 years of structural engineering experience and is licensed in seven states. After working for almost 20 years with one of Kentucky's largest A & E firms, Michael started ICON Engineering in May of 2006.
